Financial Times: EU warned over cut in number of pesticides
The Financial Times published an article on Thursday 24 April entitled “EU warned over cut in number of pesticides”, in which Brussels correspondent Andy Bounds reported on the potential impact of proposed EU plans to restrict chemical use by farmers in Europe i.e. reducing harvests and preventing farmers from growing key crops in Europe which are most vulnerable to pests.
Mr Bounds also spoke to farmers, academics, regulators and pesticide makers at a workshop earlier in the week, organised by COPA-COGECA, ECPA and ESA.
